How Novel in Translation Works

Translate longform documents with paragraph-level precision — review and edit every paragraph side-by-side.

Three steps to a great translation

1

Upload your document

Upload a plain text (.txt) file of any length — a short story, a novel chapter, or a full manuscript. Novel in Translation handles the rest.

Your document is stored securely and encrypted at rest. It is never shared or used to train any AI model.

2

AI translates paragraph by paragraph

Select your target language and start the translation. Novel in Translation uses OpenAI to translate your document chunk by chunk, preserving paragraph structure and line breaks throughout.

Progress is saved after every paragraph. If you need to step away, your translation resumes exactly where it left off — no work is lost.

3

Review side-by-side and edit in place

Every paragraph in your original document is aligned with its translation. Scroll through both columns simultaneously — they stay in sync so you never lose your place.

Click any translated paragraph to edit it directly in the review view. No switching tabs or copying text. When you are satisfied, export the full translation.
